LastPass now supports creating Shared Folders with users outside of your Enterprise system. You can share any Shared Folder with up to three users that are not in your Enterprise. These users can be free, premium, or in another Enterprise. The only limit is that the maximum of outside users that can be added per folder is three.
To add an outside user to a Shared Folder, go to your Manage Shared Folders link in your Vault as you normally would. When you click on the link to Edit any particular shared folder and the Edit dialog appears for that folder, you'll now have an option to Share folders with a member outside your organization:
After clicking this link, you'll have another dialog that asks you for the email of the outside user you'd like to add:
You have the options of adding the users as Read-only, and to Hide the Passwords in the folder. Click Share, and the user will receive an invitation to accept the shared folder. Once accepted, the user will be added to the Shared folder! The user will then appear in the list of users and user groups on the shared folder list. You can then restrict what sites they see and change permissions as you normally would. The only difference between an in-Enterprise user on the folder and outside user on the folder is that an outside user cannot be toggled as an administrator.
